Educator Award 2000 Call For Entries

D o you teach baking to kids ages 6 to 18?Are you interested in being rewarded for your great ideas? If so, enter this contest by designing a classroom project incorporating baking.Baking plays an important role in the development of academically and socially well-rounded children. The Home Baking Association (HBA) award program seeks to reward educators who have implemented outstanding education programs that teach baking to children. Every entrant will receive a free cookbook and coupons from HBA member companies. Winning entries could include breads, cookies, muffins, or any type of baked goods. Two categories... Two winners
The Home Baking Association has two categories for educators in the United States:
Category 1:
Family and Consumer Sciences Professionals
A family and consumer sciences educator teaching scratch baking to young people, 6 to 18 years of age.
Category 2:
Community-Based Youth Home Baking Programs
A county or area Cooperative Extension family and consumer sciences educator actively teaching scratch baking within his/her community to young people, 6 to 18 years of age.

How To Enter:

  • Design and execute an original project.

    Send a detailed description and name of your project.
    This could include:

    • Community service explanation Who was taught What was taught Pictures Letters of recommendation Video clips - 5 minutes or less Worksheets Recipes Student feedback
    • Other

  • Print, clip, and fill out the entry form and mail it along with your binder to:

  1. Creativity (35%) How your project effectively teaches children to bake (35%) How your project integrates multiple disciplines (15%)
