Make 1½-lb. recipe with bread machines that use 3 cups of flour, or make 2-lb. recipe with bread machines that use 4 cups of flour. Measure carefully, placing all ingredients in bread machine pan in the order recommended by the manufacturer. Select Sweet or Basic/White cycle. Use Light crust color. Remove baked bread from pan; cool on wire rack.
*If using spread, use only stick that has more than 65% vegetable oil.
**We found from our testing that the same amount of yeast is needed for either the 1½-lb. or 2-lb. recipe.
