Instructions

1. Soften yeast in warm water.
2. Combine hot milk, salt, sugar and shortening. Cool to lukewarm.
3. Stir in 2 cups flour; beat well.
4. Add yeast and mix. Add enough remaining flour to make a moderately stiff dough.
5. Turn out onto a lightly floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic. Place in a lightly greased bowl and cover. Let rise until doubled.
6. Punch down and let rise again until doubled.
7. Cut dough in half and form two balls. Let rest for 10 minutes.
8. Roll out and shape into 2 loaves. Place into 2 greased bread pans. Let rise.
9. Pre-heat Oven 350*F.
10. After last rice place in oven and bake for 30 to 35 minutes until done.
11. Remove and cool on rack.
