Ingredients

  • 3 very ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup melted unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 cup Dutch-process cocoa powder
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chunks

Instructions

  1. Heat your oven to 350°F.
  2. Butter a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  3. Sift dry ingredients into a bowl.
  4. In a large bowl, mash the bananas.
  5. Combine the wet ad dry ingredients.
  6. Pour into pan and back for 55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out batter-free.
  7. Serve warm with ice cream!
